To maximize the CS63's capabilities, we featured Robotunits for cobot support. Robotunits offers a versatile and modular collection of aluminum profiles and conveyor technologies that let you create custom, flexible structures, including work cells, robot pedestals, mobile cobot platforms, and more. Robotunits’ design allows for rapid configuration and reconfiguration, ensuring seamless integration of safety elements and peripheral devices while optimizing human-robot collaboration.

 

SICK Sensor Solutions

Intelligent robots rely on sophisticated perception, and our showcase highlighted the capabilities of not one, but two SICK sensors. First, the SICK W10 photoelectric sensor provides reliable and versatile object detection. This is crucial for tasks like verifying part presence during assembly, positioning objects for robotic grippers, detecting obstacles for autonomous mobile robots, and ensuring smooth material flow. Complementing this, the SICK safeVisionary 2 is an innovative 3D time-of-flight camera that elevates both safety and efficiency. By creating a 3D protective field, it enables safe human-robot interaction through speed reduction or safe stops upon intrusion. Beyond safety, its precise 3D data supports simultaneous automation tasks like object detection, collision avoidance, navigation, and quality control.

 

Powerful Vision Solutions with Sensopart VISOR

For detailed visual inspection and guidance, the Sensopart VISOR camera offered a compact yet powerful vision solution for our robotic system. Its diverse functionalities include object detection, measurement, code reading, and presence/absence checks. These capabilities make the VISOR perfect for tasks like precise manipulation of robots and cobots as well as verifying part orientation, ensuring quality through defect detection, and tracking objects for automated sorting.

 

Precise Motion with Parker Hannifin’s mSR

When you want accurate and reliable movement, the Parker Hannifin mSR 100 Series linear slide servo delivers high-performance electromechanical actuation. This solution offers precise and dynamic linear motion for gantry systems, pick-and-place units, dispensing applications, and automated assembly lines. The closed-loop servo control ensures repeatable accuracy and efficient operation.

 

Flexible Connectivity with CoreTigo

Facilitating seamless integration of end-of-arm tooling and peripherals is the CoreTigo TigoMaster 2TH. This robust wireless IO-Link master limits the need for cumbersome cabling, simplifying the connection of grippers, sensors, and other robotics solutions. CoreTigo enables real-time data exchange and control, supporting advanced functionalities like adaptive gripping and dynamic sensor feedback while increasing your robot’s agility and reducing downtime.

 

Smart Control with Unitronics

Effective robotic systems require intelligent control and clear communication. Unitronics provides a compact yet powerful control solution, particularly well-suited for managing auxiliary equipment and smaller robotic cells. This PLC with an integrated HMI panel offers a user-friendly interface for local operation and monitoring.
