Viking Series Extreme / Air Control Valves P2LAX591EEHDAG47

P2LAX591EEHDAG47

Description
Solenoid valves are control units which, when electrically energized or de-energized, either shut off or allow fluid flow. At rest, it can be normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC). When energized, a magnetic field builds up which pulls a plunger against the action of a spring. When de-energized, the plunger is returned to its original position by the spring action. These actions will induce different flow paths within the valve. The energizing of the coil can be achieved in 3 different actuation types: direct-acting valves, internally piloted valves, and externally piloted valves. A few features that define a solenoid valve are the number of port connections or the number of flow paths (“Ways”) and the number of positions to define the function of the valve (“2 position or 3 position”). These are often referred to in terms of 3/2, 5/2, or, 5/3. Input voltages to energize the solenoid valve coils can be supplied in 12VDC, 24VDC, 24VAC, 120VAC, or 240VAC.
